The number-to-caste map
Caste is found by Vedic numerology on the birthdate — separate from the octagram. First, the map from a single digit to a caste:
- Brahman — 3, 6
- Kshatriya — 1, 9
- Vaishya — 2, 5
- Shudra — 4, 7, 8
Every number you compute reduces to one digit (1–9) — keep summing digits until it does. Note this is the plain Vedic reduction to a single digit, not the 22-arcana reduction you use for the chart.
